GOD CREATION

Man decided he needed a god
and his women decided
not to be left out
that she needed one also
to protect the pots and pans
and the soufflé'

She reconsidered and decided
that she needed at least three
so he decided not to be undone
that he might need a dozen

She as some wives being dominant
told him to get out there
and create as many gods
as they might ever need

so he took up some clay
and from this clay he created
a multitude of gods
they were not permanent

He was not satisfied
so he made some of wood
made some of bronze
and he even made some from gold

They prayed to them
and the crops failed
even the soufflé' collapsed
and that year was a bad winter

They even prayed some more
sacrificed two young virgins
and the next summer
there was a bad drought

So life just went from bad to worst
so they decided they needed
an imaginary god
perhaps in their own image

She thought god
should be a woman
and he naturally
thought god should be a man

They fought and argued
for many years until the decided
that god should be imaginary
neither he or a she

Then others came along and said
it is not one but three
and threw in Mary to make it four
to confuse it more all the saints

People still pray
they don't sacrifice virgins
just the funds of their labor
nature has not changed

Some winters are still hard
some summers are dry
some live some die
their is little change
in human nature

"God" in our own image -- not one of
humankinds most brilliant ideas.

Perhaps the mysterious "dark matter"
that makes up the vast majority of the
universe is actually God.

After creating such a random and cruel
muddle of a system, it makes sense that
he-she would hide from sight.
