The beauty of butterflies
or of any spring flower
is in no way diminished
knowing that it will perish
Just as eventually as I
and all living this day
including trees and butterflies
will fall to our demise
Each element of that which dies
wonderfully survives
incorporated in new lives
such as trees and butterflies
