At fifteen I felt trapped
by the atmosphere
of a provincial family
and a small community
both poor
Where did not matter
one country to another
one ship to another
From the Great Lakes
to the Pacific
moving west then east
north to south
One school to another
one state to another
then west again
From one wife to another
then a third
all left behind
Moving on
this city that city
each place a home
Until dissatisfaction
moves in
and I move on
I am still moving on
preparing for that
last move
